True Beauty - your acts of kindness bring honor to God and to yourself. These acts should begin with your family, extend to the body of Christ, and reach into your community. In all places, your service acts as an example of the God who loves and honors people and provides for them. The Proverbs 31 woman challenges all Christians to live a life of service. This woman displayed her inner beauty rather than seeking attention using her outer beauty. Beauty catches another’s attention, but kind deeds are remembered forever. "Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise"

"Reward her for all she has done.

"Let her deeds publicly declare her praise" - (Proverbs 31:31)

The Proverbs 31 woman challenges all Christians to live a life of service.

This woman displayed her inner beauty rather than seeking attention using her outer beauty.

Beauty catches another’s attention, but kind deeds are remembered forever.

Look at the example of Tabitha (see Acts 9:36–42).

The people sent for Peter, seeking his help for this beloved sister who had died.

Her deeds held that kind of importance to the people of that town.

Whether you are a man or woman, your acts of kindness bring honor to God and to yourself.

These acts should begin with your family, extend to the body of Christ, and reach into your community.

In all places, your service acts as an example of the God who loves and honors people and provides for them.

Do what God has called you to do, and you will be praised for a job well done.

Challenge for Today

Be a Proverbs 31 person by serving people well.

Quicklook: Proverbs 31:20–31

READ PROVERBS 30:1 THROUGH 31:31

The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.

The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Jewels of the Lord - God does take note of our times of spiritual fellowship with other believers especially when they occur during times of stress and worldly opposition. The jewels of the Lord are not rubies and diamonds but rather are “they that feared the LORD” and who “spake often one to another.” The word for jewels suggests treasure carefully guarded in a safe place. Instead of being mounted in a crown or other adornment as precious stones would be, these jewels will be listed in a very special book. What a blessing it would be if, when we get to heaven, we should find our names written in that special book of God’s memories

Book of Remembrance - God does not need a written record in order to keep track of human deeds. However, when He speaks to us, He often uses metaphor or parable to help us understand. Jesus spoke of storing up treasure in heaven, as though making deposits into a bank account. Those who continue to honor the Lord can rest in the confidence that their names are written in God’s book of remembrance. He hears and knows the intent of every heart and desires to honor those who honor Him. Faithful service may go on for years with no apparent reward, but He is taking note. Loyalty to God does not go unnoticed or unrewarded. There is coming a day when He will act

The Lord Christ - "Jesus" was His human name, speaking especially of His mission as suffering Savior. "Christ," equivalent to the Hebrew "Messiah" (meaning "anointed"), speaks of His office as God's chosen King. As "Lord" He is sovereign Creator and ruler of the universe; victorious over all enemies, even death itself. "Lord Christ" is the only one of the combination forms of His name which omits the human name. The emphasis is altogether on His exalted position as sovereign Creator and eternal King. Our service is to be rendered to the Lord and the Christ - the Lord Christ, Creator of all things and King of kings
