The Perfect Christmas Gift - pause a moment and remember that we have already received the perfect gift. It is the essence of Christmas and the Gospel. That tiny baby in the manger of Bethlehem was indeed perfect in every way. Heaven delivered the perfect gift in a tiny bundle, so that the awesomeness of that gift might not deter any person from approaching. Whether you are a shepherd or a king, you can come, fall on your knees, and receive heaven’s perfect gift. He was born for you, lived for you, died for you, and rose for you. Accept Him and He will stand in your place when you are called to answer for your life

"Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!" - (2 Corinthians 9:15)

Pause a moment in the festivities of this day and remember that we have already received the perfect gift.

Heaven delivered the perfect gift in a humble village so that whatever your address, it is a place to which you too can come.

If you will accept Him, the One who was the Child of Bethlehem will stand in your place when you are called to answer for your life.

Did you receive the perfect Christmas gift today?

Ideally, it would have been a surprise, something you didn’t realise you needed, or something so costly you would never have given to yourself.

Pause a moment in the festivities of this day and remember that we have already received the perfect gift.

The Life that was born in Bethlehem long ago is heaven’s He had to be, so he could be the Saviour of the world.

He was perfect, so that all who look upon Him will finally have all that they lack.

Heaven delivered the perfect gift in a humble village in a backwater of the world, so that whatever your address, whether it be a palace or hut, it is a place to which you too can come.

Heaven delivered the perfect gift unwrapped, naked upon the straw, so that there might be no barrier between you and Him

 perfect gift for you.

He was born for you, lived for you, died for you, and rose for you.

And if you will accept Him, the One who was the Child of Bethlehem will stand in your place when you are called to answer for your life.

That’s why it is so wonderful that He was just so absolutely perfect – the perfect gift.

Too Wonderful for Words - God has offered us a gift, no strings attached. Although it is free to us, it was bought with the blood of Christ. It’s the gift of eternal life. We need to reach out and take the gift, enjoy it, and use it. God is offering us the forgiveness of all our sin. This gift from God is indescribable. It is inexpressible and it is eternal. If you’ve never asked Christ to come into your life to forgive your sins, if you’ve tried to find fulfillment in things, relationships and always come up short, then it’s time to come to the God whom Christmas is all about

Streams in my desert: Gifts for a King - let us be like the wise men and worship Jesus and give to Him. God wants your life. We will be glad that we did, because we can never outgive God. The greatest gift that you can give Him this Christmas is yourself. That is what God wants from us. The same Jesus who was born in Bethlehem, died on the cross, and rose from the dead is alive right now. Jesus is knocking at the door of your life. Are you going to open it, let Him in, and make room for Him?     wip

Streams in my desert: Merry Christmas - the greatest gift of all is the gift of Jesus Christ to us from God the Father. Jesus is our hope, redemption and victory     wip

Streams in my desert: Chanukah - the Jewish festival of rededication, also known as the festival of lights. This holiday has its roots in a revolution against assimilation and suppression of Jewish religion. There was very little oil left that had not been defiled by the Greeks at the time of the rededication. Oil was needed for the menorah in the Temple, which was supposed to burn throughout the night every night. There was only enough oil to burn for one day yet, miraculously, it burned for eight days     wip

Streams in my desert: You’re Not Reading This by Accident - God knew before you were born. He planned to get your attention for just a few seconds - Jesus Christ is God’s Christmas gift to you     wip

Streams in my desert: The Gift of Mercy - the gift of mercy is manifested by the Holy Spirit to bring light into darkness. This gift is not just pity where you feel sorry for someone in need. This empowers the recipient of the gift to spring into action at a moment's notice and make a difference in someone's life. They are able to put themselves in the shoes of the person in need and treat them as they would want to be treated

Streams in my desert: The Spiritual Gift of Faith - every Christian has faith, especially since we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ yet Scripture also says some have faith as a gift. Many see the gift of faith as closely connected with prayer. It has long been observed that there are some believers who naturally have a giftedness to pray in faith in ways other believers do not. Such prayers can "move mountains." As with other spiritual gifts, the gift of faith is for the encouragement of others
