Simply walk with Him - the simple secret of the life of every believer: walk with God, because the mystery that was hidden from mankind is now revealed to us through His Son – "Christ in you – the HOPE OF GLORY." Every truly born again soul can walk with the living God through His constantly indwelling presence. The one thing that is necessary - intimacy with God - a conscious choice to walk with Him, to think about Him, to look at Him, to talk with Him, rest in Him, obey Him, care about him, serve Him and love Him in a million ways

"And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him."Genesis 5:24

"To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles:

"which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."Colossians 1:27

"You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy."Revelation 3:4

Sometimes, the more significant, powerful, or influential someone is, the less you know about him or her.

There are some people of influence whose names most of us have never heard, and about whom we know almost nothing, yet they make decisions which affect millions of lives.

Enoch is a Biblical character about whom we know hardly anything besides his age and genealogy; but we do know this - that Enoch walked with God - and then God took him.

What an example!

Is there anything greater that can be said about someone than, "He walked with God"?

Enoch's life was eternally distinguished by this one characteristic: his personal relationship with the Lord.

He somehow maintained a degree of divine fellowship that was so pleasing to God that He just transformed the man's earthly body and took him to glory without ever experiencing death, and this was long before the Holy Spirit was poured out on all flesh.

But this ought to be the simple secret of the life of every believer: walk with Him, because the mystery that was hidden from mankind is now revealed to us through His Son – "Christ in you – the HOPE OF GLORY."

So that now, every truly born again soul can walk with the living God through His constantly indwelling presence.

Do we realize the amazing opportunity we've been given?

The simplicity of this truth cannot be overstated.

The Lord Himself told Martha, "One thing is necessary"

... intimacy with Him; a conscious choice to walk with God, to think about Him, to look at Him, to talk with Him, rest in Him, obey Him, care about him, serve Him and love Him in a million ways.

We are all guaranteed the resurrection that Enoch experienced because Yeshua (Jesus) walked with God and totally pleased Him.

And we have the choice to follow His example of intimacy ... just as our brother Enoch did.

Obey What God Commands - to obey God is always in our ultimate self-interest. In a universe where God sets up the rules, what is right is also smart. He offers us true life and, with it, blessing. But He warns us against sin and the curse that always comes with it. God offers us the quality of life that comes from obeying Him. He says, “Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live.” We would do well to remember that God gives us the power and strength to obey Him. God’s grace is not only for forgiveness of sin, but empowerment to live in holiness

Our Heavenly Bodies Will Be Like the Body of the Resurrected Jesus - death is not the end of life. Our present bodies wear out and grow old, but our resurrection bodies will have no capacity for deterioration or decay. Your new body will be designed for eternity. It will not be subject to accident, disease, aging, or death. It will be pain-free and disease-free. The Rapture assures us that death is not the end of life — it is simply the beginning of a new existence in our new, perfect, glorious bodies

Streams in my desert: Be Valiant - we must remember that we are part of the Lord's army - and in the Lord's army, we do not depend upon our own strength. We depend upon the power of the Lord, upon the victory that He has already won. the Lord stands eagerly awaits our call. He wants us to walk in His power, not our own. Let's give him our circumstances today and strive to rely on His strength to conquer them. Imagine the countless thousands of saints who have passed away before us. And now sit in heaven's glory where every tear is dried, and every wound is healed

Streams in my desert: Seeing the Face of God - certainly, no man has seen the face of God. There is a time in a believer’s life when he meets God face to face. That is when he comes to know Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. When a sinner realizes he is lost, and the only way to be saved - the only way for salvation is to come to God on His grounds and to repent (confess his sin of rejecting God’s Son). Then in a very real way that sinner comes face to face with God, though never really seeing His face

Streams in my desert: God’s Purpose or Mine - God is not working toward a particular finish. It is the process, not the outcome, that is glorifying to God. God’s training is for now, not later. His purpose is for this very minute, not for sometime in the future. We have nothing to do with what will follow our obedience. God’s purpose is to enable me to see that He can walk on the storms of my life right now. If we realize that moment–by–moment obedience is the goal, then each moment as it comes is precious

Streams in my desert: I Will Be With You - God’s presence with Moses was enough to ensure the success of God’s plan. Till then Moses was to trust God and move out in obedience. Only in hindsight would Moses get that confirmation that God had been with him the whole time. It is interesting that in the New Testament when God gives us a massive task, He offers the same assurance. God’s promise to be with us will give us the confidence to move out in obedience. His presence is enough to ensure the success of His plan

Streams in my desert: True Intimacy With God - there can only be intimacy with God when we are in good fellowship with Him through obedience. If we hope to attain true intimacy with God, Jesus must be our model. We love God because He first loved us, and we prove our love for Him by obeying Him. Then we can know the joy and peace that comes from trusting Him and yielding to His will. God will never draw near to those who do not draw near to Him, and the way we “draw near” is through righteousness

Streams in my desert: Walking in the Dark - the Christian life is a walk of faith and not of feeling. We need to learn to walk by faith - it is possible to live a godly life in an ungodly world

Streams in my desert: Enoch and the Second Coming - Enoch’s “walk with God” and the lifestyle that “pleased God” are the apparent motives for Jude’s short reference. Jude announces (under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit) that Enoch preached about the second coming of Christ
