Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have.
For God has said, “I will never fail you.
"I will never abandon you” - (Hebrews 13:5).
The writer of Hebrews concludes his letter to the Jewish Christians with some words about money and contentment.
It might be deduced that there could be some people of means in his audience.
Although money is helpful, the author reminds his readers that when people become obsessed with money they can become dependent on it for their contentment.
And, in 1 Timothy 6, Paul warned that loving money can lead a person to abandon the faith.
People who know Christ as their Savior are His children and recipients of His promise that they will never be alone and that they will be with Him forever.
That should be enough to keep God’s people content.
Thought for Today: Contentment can be yours every day.

Quicklook: Hebrews 13:5–7
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
