READ REVELATION 19:1 THROUGH 22:21
In these last chapters of the Book of Revelation, John records the end of time.
The beast, false prophet, and Satan are cast into the lake of fire.
The New Jerusalem descends, and saints take up residence in their new home.
But before John closes this book, he records the final invitation.
"The Spirit and the bride say, 'Come.' Let anyone who hears this say, 'Come.' Let anyone who is thirsty 'Come.' Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life" - (Revelation 22:17).
From Genesis to Revelation the invitation of our faithful God is “come.”
God told Noah to come into the ark with his family (Genesis 7:1).
Isaiah cried out, “Come, all you who are thirsty” - (Isaiah 55:1).
And Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened” - (Matthew 11:28).
To the sinner, Jesus says, “Come.”
To the backslider, Jesus says, “Come back.”
To the Christian Jesus says, “Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown” - (Revelation 2:10).Challenge for Today:
As a new year begins, pray that many will respond to the invitation to “come” presented by the gospel message.
The General Council of the Assemblies of God
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
