Is Your Battle Making You a Whiner or a Warrior? - God allows us to go for long periods without seeing the sun. He allows us to endure hardships that feel like they'll swallow us whole. And He often seems to show up when we're well past our breaking point. But God is sovereignly in control. You are an overcomer. You may get knocked down, but God will give you the grace to get back up again. You may mess up, but Jesus' blood cleans you up. You may repeatedly lose heart, but God is the strength of your heart and your portion forever. Your trials are achieving something in you that you cannot even fathom, and if you could, you'd be fiercely determined to hold on to faith, to trust Jesus with your life, and to tell that enemy what's what. If you could see the end from the beginning, your confidence and courage would soar. You will see God's majesty - His meticulous attention to detail - on that Great Day. When God pulls back the sky and reveals His glory to the world, you will be standing with Him. The world will gasp, and so will you

I've realized recently that I'm not the only one walking through an intense battle right now.

In fact, every which way I turn, I hear more stories from folks who are in the storm, or the fire, or the winepress.

There's a way to walk through our battles so they'll strengthen us and turn us into warriors.

And there's a way to walk through these hardships in a way that weakens and diminishes us.

Mark Batterson writes this:

"One of two things happens over time.

"Either your theology will conform to your reality, and your expectations will get smaller and smaller until you can hardly believe God for anything.

"Or your reality will conform to your theology, and your expectations will get bigger and bigger until you can believe God for absolutely everything!"

Yes, some people are enjoying the best season of their lives while you army crawl through yours (but for all of us, seasons change).

Yes, God allows us to go for long periods without seeing the sun.

Yes, He allows us to endure hardships that feel like they'll swallow us whole.

And yes, He often seems to show up when we're well past our breaking point.

But the truest thing is this: God is sovereignly in control.

He will have His way and have the final say.

This same unrivaled, remarkable, powerful God loves you with a love so fierce that no demon in hell will ultimately prevail against you.

You are an overcomer.

You may get knocked down, but God will give you the grace to get back up again.

You may lose a battle, but Jesus has already won the war.

You, dear one, will see God's majesty - His meticulous attention to detail - on that Great Day.

Your battles combined with your faith create an explosion in the heavenly realm.

When God pulls back the sky and reveals His glory to the world, you will be standing with Him!

The world will gasp, and so will you.

Imagine it!

So, today, we press on in faith.

We remember God's love.

We rehearse His promises.

And we stick together.

We can't go it alone.

Don't give up hope, dear friend.

Redemption is on the horizon.

We're praying for you.

With much love and appreciation,
