"Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus." - (Colossians 1:28, NKJV).
Do you not feel in your own soul that perfection is not in you?
Does not every day teach you that?
Every tear which trickles from your eye, weeps “imperfection.”
Every harsh word which proceeds from your lip, mutters “imperfection”…
But amidst this sad consciousness of imperfection, here is comfort for you - you are “perfect in Christ Jesus.”
In God’s sight, you are “complete in Him;” even now you are “accepted in the Beloved.”
You are perfect in Christ Jesus.
But there is a second perfection, yet to be realised, which is sure…
Is it not delightful to look forward to the time when every stain of sin shall be removed from the believer, and he shall be presented faultless before the throne, without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing?
The Church of Christ then will be so pure, that not even the eye of Omniscience will see a spot or blemish in her.
Then shall we know, and taste, and feel the happiness of this vast but short sentence, “Complete in Christ.”
Not till then shall we fully comprehend the heights and depths of the salvation of Jesus.
Does not your heart leap for joy at the thought of it?
"Christ takes a worm and transforms it into an angel, matchless in His glory and peerless in His beauty." – Charles Spurgeon
Reflection:
I’m sure you don’t feel perfect.
How a Christian sees their own life is never how God sees it.

He Who Began a Good Work in You - while salvation from the penalty of sin happens at the moment a person accepts Christ, the process of becoming more like Christ is exactly that: a process. This "sanctification" will continue in the lives of these believers. This assurance is grounded in the work of Jesus Christ. Paul has no doubts about their salvation and their faithful service to Christ. Paul was focused on the good things that would take place when these believers met Christ in the future
Dead to the Old Sin Nature - when Christ died on the Cross, we died in Him. When Christ was raised from the dead, we too were raised with Him. Our old sin nature was replaced by a new Christ-like nature. How vital to set our mind on things above, for we have died, and our life is hidden with Christ in God. Let us choose to live godly in Christ Jesus and put away the old sin nature, which is idolatry. Let us remember that we are being prepared for our heavenly home, and when Christ Who is our life appears, we also will appear with Him in glory
Crucified with Christ - Christ lives in me - since no believer was literally crucified with Christ, the phrase crucified with Christ is symbolic for a spiritual truth. Being crucified with Christ means that we are no longer under the penalty of the Law. That penalty was paid by Christ on our behalf. When Christ rose from the dead, we rose, too. Now the risen Christ empowers us to live for Him in a way that pleases God. Being crucified with Christ means that we are new creations. We have a new commitment. We have taken up our cross to follow Him - we have a new way of life
Streams in my desert: Living in the Flesh or in the Spirit - people live simultaneously in the realm of the flesh and the realm of the Spirit. But those who have been justified, though they may still be in the flesh, they will not live according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. We died to the flesh in our spiritual union with Christ at the Cross. We have been spiritually raised up with Christ, are now “in Christ” and are now alive to God. Paul writes: "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me"
Streams in my desert: Living by Faith in the Son of God - nobody can be justified in God's eyes by the works of the law, but only by faith in Christ. To believe in Christ is to be crucified with Him and to have Him replace your sinful self in you. Christ was crucified for our sin. By faith, we trust that His death paid for our own personal sin. In that way, we are crucified with Him, our sin with him on the cross. That sinful "us" dies, replaced by the resurrected Christ "in us." We continue to live in the flesh but our lives are now directed not by our sinful selves but by our faith in Christ
Streams in my desert: Seated in Heavenly Places in Christ Jesus - physically, we still live in the natural world. But God, by His great power, and because of His immense love, mercy, and grace, raised us from our spiritually dead status to new life in Christ. We now sit in heavenly places. It is a spiritual reality for the believer
Streams in my desert: The Preeminence of Christ - Christ is superior to everything in the universe. No matter how enticing the philosophies of this world may be, they are bankrupt to give you true answers in life. Christ alone is sufficient for every need you have
Streams in my desert: Blessed in Christ - “in Christ,” conveys a world of doctrinal truth with great blessing to the believer. Positionally speaking, God has actually “raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus”
