Many believers feel a longing in their hearts for something they cannot pinpoint.
With the Holy Spirit dwelling in a believer’s heart, why does the longing remain?
"God has made everything beautiful for its own time.
"He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end" - (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
God created a perfect world with perfectly healthy humans.
When sin entered the world, so did death.
Human bodies now fall prey to sickness and death.
Decaying forests and crumbling buildings are signs that the original creation is fading.
The feeling of incompleteness reminds believers that they have not arrived at their permanent home.
After Jesus returns, there will be a new heaven and a new earth and the longing of believers will be fulfilled.
Thought for Today:
The beauty of this world only hints at the perfect beauty of heaven.

The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM," the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
